  • Zion National Park is the furthest west of the five national parks in southern Utah (Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, and Zion) and it is the most popular of the Utah National Parks
  • Zion is a Hebrew word given to the canyon by Mormon settlers in the 1860’s
  • At Weeping Rock in Zion National Park, water seeps out of the rock surfaces. This water takes more than 1,000 years to travel through the stone from a natural underground spring
